As part of their 'Only in London' campaign, VisitLondon has launched the smallest pop-up hotel in the world which for one week will be doing the rounds of some of the capital's main tourist attractions in a bid to show off what the city has to offer. Between 15th and 19th March, the renovated American Airstream, which measures 29ft by 7ft, will turn up at five of London's biggest star turns, namely London Zoo, Alexandra Palace, the London Eye, Covent Garden and the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. What's more, visitors have the chance to win one night in the hotel, which boasts a kitchenette, dining room, mini fridge, flatscreen television, sound system and bathroom with shower and toiletries courtesy of Radisson Edwardian. Check in is by 5pm while the winners will have to vacate the room by 11am the following morning. They will though receive a continental breakfast before they head off.
VisitLondon's Sally Chatterjee commented on the publicity stunt: "We are delighted to unveil the world's smallest pop-up hotel in celebration of London's unique offering for visitors. Only in London can you stay in an incredible range of accommodation from luxury hotels to cosy bed and breakfasts while enjoying a huge variety of attractions, restaurants, shops and events that are just a stone's throw away. For one week only, visitors to the capital will have the opportunity to wake up and enjoy exclusive views of the world's most iconic skylines."
