The airline that's been in the spotlight following the 2011 World Travel Awards, Qatar Airways, isn't about to step off the stage. First and Business class travellers planning on flying via the Doha-based airline now have a brand new Premium Lounge at London Heathrow - and it's not bad at all.
The Premium Lounge located at Terminal 4 is the airline's first dedicated facility for First and Business class passengers outside its Doha hub.
The boutique hotel design of the lounge isn't like any other conventional airport lounge. Top facilities include a brasserie that looks like a theatre, a deli, and a top-notch Martini bar. There are also private shower facilities, with heated floors and mirrors, plush high thread-count towels and luxury brand toiletries.
For business clients, there is complimentary Wi-Fi and well-placed power sockets near every seat. There is also a business centre where travellers have access to computers and printers.
The opening of the lounge coincides with the increase in London-Doha services, which will go from four to five daily flights. The extra service will begin on 25 March.
