At Carthage, the relics of the Punic era include the Tophet, the oldest Punic place of worship, lying on a large garden, and the ancient trade and war ports. The vestiges of the Roman era include a collection of thermal baths and imposing ruins that give an idea of what the site looked like before it was destroyed. The National Museum of the city displays important works of the era such as ceramics, oil lamps, jewellery and funerary objects.
