Kerkenna Islands (Gharbi and Chergui) lie off the coast of the city of Sfax. They are populated by a community of fishermen who, outside the tourist season, will invite you out for a ride on the sea. Do not fail to visit the Borj el Hissar either, (small fort in ruins) on Chergui: This is where you will enjoy the most extensive panorama. For a swim, go to Sidi Frej beach, one of the loveliest on the island.
