In vogue 2,000 years ago, mosaic panels have returned to fashion thanks to lovers of antique decoration. To produce these patchworks of marble pieces, you will need at least 14,000 tesseras (or pieces of stone) per sq ft. These are carefully assembled and glued together. Once the coating dries up, the whole setup is tipped over and the mosaic appears on the other side.
