Take the time to pay a visit to the ruins of Ephesus, 12.5 miles from the port of Kusadasi. It is a sort of 'Turkish Pompei' with its temples, boutiques, terrace houses, thermal baths, amphitheatre, and the impressive façade of the Celsius library that has been superbly restored. Close to Selçuk, you can see the temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the world. Other archeological sites of Aegeus include Priene, Miletus, Didyma and Aphrodisias and the ruins of the largest Anatolian stadium.
