Shopping Festivals

Created in 1996, the Dubai Shopping Festival takes place every year from January to February. It was at first a sort of bargain sale (sales on gold, electronic equipment, luxury goods) with raffles to win prizes such as cars. It has now become a real event, with concerts and fashion shows. In Abu Dhabi, the Shopping Festival started in 1998. It takes place during the whole month of March. More "traditional" than Dubai's festival, it offers luxury goods (jewellery, perfume, bags, decorating objects) at very reasonable prices.
