Antrim Coast, Northern Ireland The Antrim Coast and Glens is an area of County Antrim in Northern Ireland, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1988 Vladimira Dvorakova / age fotostock;
Along Antrim coast, you will discover the delightful Portrush seaside resort. Meanwhile, do not hesitate to walk to Dunluce Castle (a medieval fortress). Move long the road for over 2 miles and you will see the ruins of the site from the heights of a cape overlooking the sea. The desolated background is quite magnificient and the area hides an underground passage leading to the beach below. Take along good shoes, as the passage is quite rough. Then go to Bushmills village, where you will find the oldest whisky distillery in the world. It has been in the business since 1608!!! This is where the renowned Blackbush and the not less famous Single Malt are produced. A tasting-visit will offer you the single opportunity to compare these two vintages as true connoisseurs.
