The beaches of Jersey Jersey has some of the Channel Islands' most beautiful beaches with turquoise waters and white sands Vladimira Dvorakova / age fotostock;
There are 27 beaches: all of them are huge when the sea is at low tide (Jersey has one of the world's highest tide coefficients, 12 metres of maximal amplitude). Generally covered with white or ochre sand, they extend over several kilometres in the island's west and south. You will find creeks in the north. One of the most beautiful beaches is St. Brelade beach (for its setting and sand quality). A little less beautiful but also less touristy: Plemont beach in the northwest. You will find small coffee shops and restaurants right next to the beach where you can have a snack.
