At Omagh, the Ulster-American Folk Park is a museum in a class of its own. Located in a large park, it depicts an 18th century village with cottages housing animated exhibitions of old professions (blacksmiths, weavers, spinners). A school and presbyterian temple have equally been reconstructed. The second section of the museum is dedicated to the immigration of the people of Northern Ireland to America. The lives of the pioneers of the New World are depicted by several accounts of the period, horse-drawn carriages and log cabins, identical to those used in the 19th century.
