Las Vegas, United States, Las Vegas and National Parks

The paradise of gambling and excesses: everything here comes down to a single street, which has become an outdoor funfare for adults. On the Strip, you will see all the great casino-hotels of Las Vegas, such as the Bellagio, the MGM, the Luxor and the New York New York... Bryce Canyon or Zion are not too far away by car, and you are sure to discover something entirely different !

Visit Las Vegas

  • To see

Visit the various casino-hotels as they each have their own specific atmosphere. To see another side of Las Vegas, you should visit old Vegas, on Fremont Street, where you will find the first casinos; the atmosphere is quaint and outdated and you should go there in the evening as the entire street is lit by hundreds of light bulbs.

    To do

Take a gamble in the casinos; visit the hotels (all of them fanfares with their own themes), and go to see some of the numerous shows put on every evening in the hotels. Some of them are free, others you need to pay for. For paying shows, there are certain ticket offices that offer discounts on rates.
If you have a little time ahead of you, you should visit the surrounding national parks, such as Zion or Bryce Canyon, where you can relax in the most peaceful of settings.

    To think about

Try to take the odd breather from the casino as time flies when you're busy spending all your money playing Russian roulette.
  • To avoid

Be careful not to blow all your money at the Casino ! In the evening, try to stay clear of the infamous red light district of Las Vegas in the old town. It is full of narrow streets where the night's gambling losers congregate.

    To try

You're in America, you have to try one of their burgers, they are better here than anywhere else, and even if you're not that into burgers, give them a try, you'll be surprised. In Las Vegas, you will find food from all over the world. Each hotel houses a number of restaurants that offer dishes from all over the planet.

    To bring back

There are countless kitsch souvenirs on sale in the numerous shops in Las Vegas. There are also many shopping malls where you are sure to find some bargains.
