In Miami, walk along the famous Miami Beach; take advantage of your stroll to contemplate the Art Deco District with pastel-coloured mansions and constructions, built in the early 20th century. Push your walk towards South Beach and explore one of the trendiest areas in Florida, where the famous fashion designer, Gianni Versace, lives. West of Downtown, wander over Calle Ocho in the very lively and colourful area of Little Havana, point of convergence for Cubans and Latinos. In the south, in Key Biscayne, enjoy watching shows in the huge Seaquarium of "Flipper the dolphin", Salty the sea lion, and Lolita the whale. Marvel at the sea aquarium's 12,000 fish and sea animal species. In the south-west of the city, in Coconut Grove on Biscayne Beach, visit Villa Vizcaya and its gardens. The Italian Renaissance-style villa also hosts a museum and a collection of European decorative art from the 15th to the 19th centuries (paintings, sculptures, furniture, etc). In the southwest, enjoy the calm and the luxurious residences of the Coral Gables area. A little further, get on a little train in the biggest tropical garden there is in the United States: Fairchild Tropical Garden. You can also get there by taxi-boat, an easy and pleasant way to discover Miami Bay. Not far from there, Parrot Jungle and Gardens encloses another tropical forest, inhabited by various parrot, pelican and pink flamingo species. In Metrozoo, observe a thousand species on their little islands, a little like if you went on safari. At Monkey Jungle, 21 miles south of Miami on US1, in the heart of a forest, you will see different species of monkeys being mischievous and making comical expressions. In Homestead, 23 miles away via US1, in Coral Castle, admire the stunning castle, sculpted in coral by one man only, to show his love for a woman.
