Scottsdale

Our Editorial team's advice

This town of 200,000 inhabitants fits well into the fabulous Sonora desert scenery. Often chosen as the first stop in a journey through the national parks surrounding it, Scottsdale enables the visitor to relax or practice different leisure activities. Golf, in particular, is played here. With more than 30 courses at their disposal, golf enthusiasts will have more than enough space to improve their swing. Spas or health resorts, combined with splendid hotels also offer the possibility to discover all sorts of relaxation methods. Located right outside town, the Sonora desert hosts many cacti, rocks sculpted by the wind and imposing gorges sculpted by erosion. It is in spring that the Sonora shows off its most beautiful colours, when its thin vegetation transforms itself for a couple of weeks into an immense floral carpet.
