Colonía del Sacramento, built on the banks of the Rio de la Plata, is undoubtedly the country's most beautiful city. With fortifications, narrow streets and its ancient square with ochre facades, it is a colonial, nostalgic city where it does one good to spend a few relaxing days. You can simply relax, or prepare yourself to go to Buenos Aires which is just across the Rio de la Plata.
