The west coast of Aneityum has very pretty white sand beaches, where swimming is safe. Travel the coast from Port Patrick, the only large village on the island. The view is fantastic over the lagoon, with the enormous silhouette of Mount Inrerow Atamein (2,664 ft) in the background.
