The climate is tropical, with two seasons. The rainy season runs from November to April. During that period of the year, it is hot (30°C) and humid (21 days of rain in March), with risks of hurricanes. The dry season goes from May to October. The temperatures are milder (27°C) and the rainfall much lighter (13 days of rain in August). The best period for tourism is between May and October.
