The coastal road on the Island of Efate deserves to be travelled in its entirety (80 miles), as it has some spectacular viewpoints along it. Start your route to the north of Port-Villa. You will reach the point of Samoa, a rocky peninsula with several small coves and then arrive at Siviri village. Just before the villlage, a road leads to the Valeafu grotto with its pretty limestone formations and underground lake. After this, head to Undine Bay where the view is absolutely fantastic. Beyond the bay, you can see the impressive shapes of the Nguna, Pele and Emao islands. After Undine bay, heading towards Sara, are the best beaches. The road crosses coconut plantations and banyan forests. Stop at Manuro point to appreciate the viewpoint, then head to Port-Vila by crossing the estuaries of the Rentapo and Teouma rivers.
