The highest point of Vanuatu is Mont Tabwemasana (6,164 ft) on Santo. Its exploration should not be taken lightly; make sure you are accompanied by a guide, and know that it will take four days to get to the summit and to return to base. In addition, the climb takes place in the middle of abundant tropical vegetation and long slopes that are often slippery. The view from the summit is spectacular, though the sky is rarely clear.
