The Vietnamese coast stretches over more than 1988 miles. It is made up of karstic formations (karst erosions), which have created various rivers, grottoes and limestone plateaus. Travelling along it, you will discover beautiful beaches such as Tra Co (11 miles long), Ha Tien, Sam Song, Lang Co, Non Nuoc or even Vung Tau, among others. In certain places, the mountains come down to the sea, forming picturesque bays, including the famous Along Bay, named a world heritage site by Unesco. The country has large ports, such as Hai Phong, Da Nang and Qui Nhon, but also numerous archipelagos made up of islands, and smaller islands scattered from North to South. See, for example, Hoang Sa (Paracels) and Truong Sa (Spratley).
