Weather Forecast in Venezuela

During the dry season, from mid-December to mid April, is the best time to visit the country, especially from Feburary to April. On the Northen coast and the islands, the heat is manageable (on average between 26 and 28C) and the weather is very sunny. The sea temperature is around 26 C. The capital, Caracas, and Merida in the centre of the little Andean cordillera, enjoy a more moderate temperature due to their altitude (23-24 C during the day, 13-15 C early morning and at night). By contrast, the south-eastern part of the country is never safe from tropical downpours. Above 9840 ft in the Andean Cordillera, it is always cold and humid. In the central plains region, temperatures are very high at certain times and can reach 40 C during the day.
During the rainy season from the end of April to the end of November, the coastal region has a punishing, humid heat. In Caracas, the rains frequently cause floods. In the centre of the country, the traffic can often be problematic. A period to be avoided
