• Pros
  • The Andes, the Amazon forest, the lost cities of the Incas such as Machu Picchu, the colourful markets... Peru offers all of this. In this immense country, there are many more adventure opportunities.
  • Everything is very cheap there: allow around 3 pounds for a meal in Cuzco and 6 pounds per person for a night in a 1 star hotel (clean and comfortable).

  • Avoid rain season: the roads aren't suitable for driving.
  • The altitude can be a real problem for some because it can sometimes turn a few weeks' relaxing holiday into a really exhausting sporting event...
