Burials

A burial is an essential event for a village where each person contributes. Songs and dances, as well as cries and tears accompany the pain of bereavement. Bereavement invokes the separation of men and women - men remain outside whilst women remain at the side of the deceased in the house. Speeches and thanks then follow before paying homage to the deceased for a final time and taking them to their final resting place.
