Livingstone is the departure point for visits to the Victoria Falls. It is a tourist, commercial city with some cultural points of interest. The National Museum has an interesting collection of archaeological and anthropological pieces, such as a skull dating from the Neanderthal period, and ritual objects. A number of these objects belonged to David Livingstone. Regarding the railway museum, this traces the history of the Zambian railway, and houses some ancient trains. In the Marumba cultural centre, it is possible to see traditional dancers on stage. Zambian dance is one of the most spectacular and acrobatic performances in this part of the globe and truly a sight to behold.
