To the east, the Luangwa National Park is the most interesting thing in the country, or even the whole of Africa. It is an ideal place for safari photos as lions, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, elephants, leopards and antelopes can all be seen here. Along the Luangwa River, you can also see hippos and crocodiles. This area is particularly good for bird watching, one of the favorite pastimes in this region of the world. Various means of transport are available including open-top vehicles, on foot or on horseback. Numerous accommodation options are available, from camping to luxury lodges, as well as family chalets.
