Discover The Secession Hall Austria

A contemporary exhibition hall, the Secession Hall is a unique building that was constructed by architect Joseph Maris Olbrich in 1897. This building is part of an architectural and artistic manifesto of the 'Vienna Succession', a group of rebel artists that were opposed to the traditional art of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. The artistic programme here is contemporary and if you decide to come explore it, don't miss seeing the Beethoven Frieze by Gustav Klimt, created in 1897 during the 14th Secession exhibition.
