Discover Lake Inle Burma

Lake Inle is a superb place with very pleasant weather. The inhabitants (Inthas) grow all sorts of fruits and vegetables (tomatoes), on floating islands. This cultivation system consists of plant mounds, covered with earth and mud, stowed to a post, onto which the Inthas sow their seeds. Around a 30 mile long lake, you can see many temples, stupas and monasteries. Inside Nga Phe Chaung monastery, you will see cats trained to jump through hoops by the monks.
