Mount Popa, an old volcano with an altitude of 1,500 m, located 50 miles out of Pagan, is a pilgrimage site where people come to honour the Nats, or spirits of Good and Evil. Climbing to the top of the mountain is not particularly difficult, and the view is magnificent.
