Kouchibouguac National Park Canada
By Amy Adejokun Amy Adejokun Section editor

Discover Kouchibouguac National Park

Every year, more than 2 million people visit the national and provincial parks in New Brunswick. Kouchibouguac National Park is one of the most famous. It is located on the east coast and covers an area of 92 mi², and its strange name means 'river of the long tides' in Mi'kmaq. Numerous activities are available in the park, such as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter, and camping and cycling in summer. Likewise, special events are held throughout the year, such as a stargazing festival (during which the night sky is observed) and a marathon run entirely on the park's trails. The prices to spend one or two great days with your family in the great outdoors are very reasonable.
