The aurora borealis Canada
By Amy Adejokun Amy Adejokun Section editor

Discover The aurora borealis

It's possible to catch a glimpse of the aurora borealis in the Northwest Territories, particularly in the winter. Typical of the Arctic regions, this phenomenon that lights up the sky makes for an incredible sight. One of the best places in the Territories to see it is the Aurora Village in Yellowknife. This village, created especially for this purpose, is composed of tipis containing heated chairs, observation equipment and a small bar.
