The Bay of Fundy Canada
By Amy Adejokun Amy Adejokun Section editor

Discover The Bay of Fundy

The Bay of Fundy is the perfect place to watch the tides. Here the water can rise by up to 4m in just one hour! This natural phenomenon is explained by the shape of the bay, which looks a bit like a funnel over 125 miles long. At low tide, it is possible to walk on the seabed, which is a pretty exceptional experience. Around the Bay of Fundy, you can go climbing, abseiling and even caving (exploring caves). The Bay of Fundy is full of many fish and marine animals, such as herring, haddock, mackerel, rays, sharks and sometimes whales.
