The Boothia and Melville Peninsulas Canada
By Amy Adejokun Amy Adejokun Section editor

Discover The Boothia and Melville Peninsulas

The Boothia and Melville Peninsulas are attached to mainland Canada and are bigger than your average peninsula. Nevertheless, it is possible to walk from one side of these peninsulas to the other. Note that the first North Magnetic Pole ever to be discovered was on the Boothia Peninsula in 1831. Since then, all of the world's compasses have pointed to this location.
