Woodland caribou Canada
By Amy Adejokun Amy Adejokun Section editor

Discover Woodland caribou

Woodland caribou are a subspecies of caribou that live in very cold regions like Nunavut. In the province's capital, Iqaluit, caribou roam freely through the city and you'll often find you have to move out of the way to let them pass! The Inuit hunt caribou not only for food but also to make use of their skin and antlers.
