With its white sand dunes, palm and coconut trees, Boa Vista has enough to attract today's Robinson Crusoes, as this tall sand dune looks like a faraway island. It is perfect if you want a beach and ocean all to yourself, as you probably won't come across anyone else here.... It is also a very good spot for windsurfing (the UCPA base is on this island).

Boa Vista still boasts some huge and entirely unspoilt natural beaches. It is estimated that the island attracts 70% of the turtles who come to the archipelago to lay their eggs.© Patrice Hauser / EASYVOYAGE
