Located across from the Bund, this huge ultramodern business district represents the futuristic face of Shanghai. To think there wasn't a single skyscraper here before the 1990s! From the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower (for about 100 yuan, and a long wait), you get an incredible view over Shanghai and the river. Pudong has one of the longest suspension bridges in the world, a new International Airport, some of the tallest and most luxurious hotels, and one the biggest stock exchanges in the world. It's also where the much talked about 2010 World Expo was held.
