Down below, Porto-Vecchio's marina is the city's other must-see area. It's the ideal base if you want to hire a boat for a wonderful day out on the Tyrrhenian Sea.
As an added bonus, you can organise a dive from the marina. The area around Porto-Vecchio is home to some beautiful seabed. The Cerbicale Islands nature reserve is a renowned diving spot!

In the old town, start by sitting down at one of the many terraced restaurants.
Come and discover its old streets and lively squares in the evening. At aperitif time, the atmosphere on the terraces is in full swing.
In addition, on the evenings of 14 July and 15 August, a beautiful fireworks display is fired from the quays of Porto-Vecchio's marina.
Later in the evening, you can choose between an evening in a club or a lively beach bar.

How to get there?
By plane, the commune is linked to numerous destinations via Figari-Sud-Corse airport. Private aviation and flying club.
The port of Porto-Vecchio is accessible from the ports of Marseille, Nice and Toulon. Ferries are more numerous in the high season from April to early October.
By bus, several lines serve the Porto-Vecchio bus station located not far from the marina. So you can reach the largest town in southern Corsica from Ajaccio or Bastia.

During the high season, from April to October, you'll be spoilt for choice in Porto-Vecchio. From family campsites to top-of-the-range 4-star hotels, the accommodation on offer is complete.
Note that outside the summer months, the range of accommodation is considerably reduced, especially in winter.
Conversely, at the height of summer, the flow of visitors makes it difficult to book rooms. So make sure you book as early as possible. As a bonus, you'll benefit from preferential rates!

Parking is not always easy.
There is paid parking in the centre of the resort and at the Porto-Vecchio marina.
The same applies to days spent on the beautiful local beaches, so be sure to bring some change, as all car parks charge a fee.
