Discover The National Park of Cabritos Island Dominican Republic

Cabritos Island is a protected ecological paradise of unspoilt flora and fauna (which notably includes the amazing red-eyed Ricord iguana) nestled at the heart of Lake Enriquillo. It is the lowest point in the Caribbean, at 44m below sea level, tucked in between two mountain ranges in the southwest of the country and not far from the Haitian border. This body of water is seven times saltier than the sea and is home to some 400 crocodiles.
