Air Caraibes : History

Air Caraibes is a French airline which specialises in flights to the West Indies and Guyana. Regular Air Caraibes flights land in the main Caribbean airports in Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, Saint Martin and Haiti, as well as the Dominican Republic, Saint Bartholomew and Saint Lucia.
The airline was founded in 2000 with the aim of serving the French Caribbean. Nevertheless, nowadays the Air Caraibes route map has extended to include transatlantic flights from Paris Orly to Point-à-Pitre, Forte-de-France, Cayenne, Saint-Martin and Port-au-Prince. The airline also has a partnership with SNCF and offers the option of purchasing train + shuttle + airplane tickets called the Air Caraibes TGV Air or just the TGV Air.
Air Caraibes also has an alliance with Corsair over flights to Point-à-Pitre and Fort-de-France. The two share flights to a large part of the Caribbean and Indian Ocean. Therefore, a customer can change flights from one company to the other without having to check their bags in again.
Although Air Caraibes does not offer direct flights from the UK, it is possible that if your chosen destination is in the West Indies or Guyana you will have to catch an Air Caraibes connection in France given the airline's reputation and specialization in this area.
The Air Caraibes fleet is currently made up of 8 aircrafts in service and 6 ordered.
