Fairy tales come to life at this annual celebration in Odense, the author's birthplace. It includes plays, cabaret, concerts and parades.November/December: Christmas in Tivoli Gardens. The famous Christmas market at Tivoli, near Copenhagen, features stalls, decorations and entertainment, with live reindeer among the attractions. There are also fireworks in the gardens between Christmas and the New Year.
