Israel is home to two international airports, Ben Gourion airport near to Tel Aviv, and Ovda airport near to Eilat, the port and sea resort on the Red Sea. As a reminder, there is no airport in Jerusalem but it is easily accessible from Ben Gurion International. Therefore, finding a cheap flight to Israel is generally synonymous with finding a cheap flight to Tel Aviv. There are frequent flights from the UK to Tel Aviv, not just from London airports, and you can often find even more seasonal flights in the summer when regular flights are assisted by an influx of low cost flights to Israel. Taking the year as a whole, it is generally the most economical to fly to Tel Aviv during the winter when it is possible to find cheap flights for as little as £200, while the price of Tel Aviv air tickets can be up to as much as double this price in July or August. From a weather point of view, Israel is a year round destination, although December through to February is rainier, and June, July and August can be extremely hot. It's up to you to decide! Outside of Tel Aviv, direct flights from the UK to Eilat are a rarity and most flights to Eilat include one or two stopovers, often including in Tel Aviv.
