Founded in 1932, LAN airlines (consisting of LAN Argentina, LAN Chili, LAN Equator and LAN Peru), is one of the oldest airlines.A public company until 1989, LAN was originally Chili's national airline. LAN luggage allowance limits passengers to one item of hand luggage no bigger than 55x35x25cm in dimension and 8kg in weight for LAN Economy Class passengers and 16kg for LAN Premium Economy and Business Class ticket holders. In addition, you can bring a second handbag, briefcase or portable computer. There is no extra charge for hold luggage, however, weight restrictions apply and vary depending on the final destination of the aircraft. LAN hold luggage restrictions range from one bag weighing less than 23kg for Economy Class passengers to three 23kg bags for LAN Business Class and Premium Economy Class passengers). On international flights overweight bags will incur an extra charge of between euros35 and euros150 depending on the flight length, and the maximum baggage weight is 32kg.LAN check in must be done in person at the airport counter at the time indicated on the boarding pass.
