Praslin Island is served by the small 'Isle des Palmes' airport (also simply known as 'Praslin Island Airport'. International flights to the Seychelles arrive at the Seychelles International Airport. From here, a very short 15 minute internal flight will take travellers to Praslin Island Airport itself. These flights cost around £45 and there are several every day. Getting from the airport to your chosen destination within the island is very simple, as there is a great public bus service. Buses run routes around the island at least every hour, with buses on the main routes departing every half hour. Hiring a car or a van is also simple in the Seychelles, and you can book your chosen vehicle online before arriving, to ensure that it is waiting for you at the airport when your plane touches down. Another option for getting from from the airport is the catamaran. A speedy catamaran departs at regular intervals throughout the day, and is a great way to travel as it enables you to experience the gorgeous, idyllic beaches of the island first hand! Praslin Island Airport is located right on the coastline, meaning that it is very close to some of the quietest beaches on the island. Travellers wishing to stay in a hotel right next to the airport have some fabulous options to choose from. The luxurious set of chalets known as the Chalets Cote Mer, for instance, offer spectacular views over the beach, as well as being just a few hundred metres from the airport.
