Tangier, also known as Tangiers, is a city in Northern Morocco. It is considered the gateway to Africa, as it lies on the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar, and is easily accessible from mainland Spain. The city can be reached from numerous European cities, including Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon. The airport is located nine miles from the city centre. There are car rental services located at the airport if you wish to hire a car for the duration of your stay. There are many little lanes with obscure walkways around which you can spend many hours exploring.
