Wizz Air : History

Wizz or Wizz Air is a Hungarian and Polish low-cost airline which sends flights to 101 destinations from 18 airports around central Europe (in Gdansk, Poznan, Katowice, Varsovie and Wroclaw in Poland, Budapest in Hungary, Sofia in Bulgaria, Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Tirgu Mures, Craiova and Timisoara in Romania, Vilnius in Lithuania, Riga in Latvia, Kiev in the Ukraine, Belgrade in Serbia, Prague in the Czech Republic and Tuzla in Bosnia-Herzegovina). The airline also has an airport base in Belgium (Brussels-South Chareloi) and a base in the UK (London Luton).
This airline is ranked at number 5 among the low-cost airline companies, after RyanAir, EasyJet, Norwegia and Vueling. It also has two branches: Wizz Air Bulgarie and Wizz Air Ukraine. Check-in

Wizz Air tickets can be purchased at a cheap base rate with optional add-ons such as hold luggage and onboard refreshments incurring additional charges. These options can be purchased when booking your Wizz Air flight.
The Wizz Air baggage allowance varies according to the flight destination and booking period. Passengers are welcome to bring a small item of hand luggage on board with them for free which must not exceed 42x32x25cm in size. If the bag surpasses the size restrictions the passenger will have to pay extra which could cost between 5 and 200 euros depending on the bag?s weight. It is possible to purchase extra weight allowance when making your ticket reservation. The maximum weight for hold luggage is 32kg.
Passengers can complete their Wizz Air check in either using the Wizz Air online check in service or at the airport check in desk. Passengers who have checked in online and who don?t have hold luggage should be at the airport at least 30 minutes before the scheduled flight departure. Passengers who have checked in online and do have hold luggage must be present 40 minutes before take-off.
