XL Airways is a French airline company founded in 1995 by Cedric Pastour and based at Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport. The airline was originally named Star Airlines; it was changed to XL Airways following the takeover by the current CEO Laurent Magnin. The XL Airways fleet is only made up of three aircrafts (2 Airbus and 1 Boeing) but this airline often leases aircrafts from other companies, which enable it to offer XL Airways flights to destinations all over the world. The guidelines for XL Airways baggage allow passengers to take on board one item of hand luggage no bigger than 55x35x25cm and no heavier than 5kg (or 10kg depending on the ticket class and flight destination).
