Discover Le Hameau Duboeuf France

In the extreme south of the department of Saône-et-Loire, the village of Romanèche-Thorins lies at the heart of Beaujolais. The Hameau du Vin theme park opened here in 1993. At the time, Georges Duboeuf, who was already at the root of the commercialisation of Beaujolais Nouveau, wanted to create a large centre dedicated to the discovery of the world of wine. Twenty years later, the Hameau, renamed Duboeuf, is Europe's premier oenopark. Covering over 30,000m², the village has become a spectacular theme park. It welcomes 100,000 visitors a year.

A museum presents the history of wine over time plus all of the steps in its production. Special emphasis is placed on the wines of the region. The visit is followed up with games for children plus videos and interactive entertainment. A wine-making centre explains each step of the production process in detail. The Beaujolais Garden allows visitors to discover all the scents and aromas that make this wine so noteworthy. Finally, a 'cinéma dynamique' was inaugurated in April 2012. Standing on moving pods and facing two enormous screens, you will fly over the vineyards of Normandy. Guaranteed thrills. The Hameau Deboeuf is the ideal place to visit as a family and you should count on spending an entire day here.
