Discover Laferrière citadel Haïti

The Laferrière Citadel, situated at the bottom of the mountain of the same name, 2,953 feet high, is another example of Haiti's great past. This imposing fortress, built to drive back the European invaders, was built by 20,000 enslaved workers.
