The Tivoli is good for guests seeking tranquillity. It allows you to combine relaxation with some sports activities such as tennis. The entertainment is minimal, but you don't come here for that. The welcome, however, is very warm.

The hotel is 1640 ft from the beach. You have to cross several roads to get there. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the centre of town. For transfers to and from the airport (located 15 miles away), allow 30 minutes.
By September 2005, all of the rooms will have been renovated. The carpet will be replaced with white tiles. For the moment, the rooms on the ground floor are inaccessible due to plumbing works. The rooms offer a view of the sea or the swimming pool. They are large and decorated in vibrant colours. They have a small balcony. They each have a satellite TV, adjustable air-conditioning, a mini-bar and telephone line via the switchboard. The bathrooms are not very pleasant (mould) and not very spacious. Each is equipped with a bathtub.
Built in 1995, the Tivoli has 280 rooms, including 24 suites, in 4 buildings of three storeys. Between them, you get a view of the sea. The rectangular swimming pool and the sun lounge are where the hotel's guests spend the most time. Here you will find a sufficient amount of parasols and deck chairs. The reception is warm.
Food and drink
You can dine at two restaurants. The international restaurant offers varied and well garnished buffets. If you wish to, you can choose your meal yourself. The Moroccan restaurant offers am interesting menu of traditional dishes. The snack bar by the swimming pool can accommodate a large capacity and allows you to eat something quickly at all times of the day.
The hotel is not situated on the seafront. You have to walk some 1640 ft to reach the beach. Speak to private rentals to get some deck-chairs, mattresses, and umbrellas (preferential rates for the hotel's guests). The same goes for watersports equipment. The beach of Agadir is 4 miles long and 330 ft wide. There is a lot of space. But the water is rough because of the waves that crash onto the sand.
From now until the end of May 2005, there is construction work taking place on the swimming pool every night (from 8 p.m. until midnight). Therefore you won't find much serenity in the evenings. The Tivoli is aimed at guests looking for relaxation. Situated on a hill and away from the coast, it offers a magnificent view of Agadir and the sea. ? little far from Agadir, it is nevertheless placed right next to a shopping arcade that offers the essential amenities.

The Agadir Beach is a very lively establishment, ideally placed on the seafront. It offers holidays all-inclusive or half-board. It is excellent for a relaxing family vacation or for those who want to partake in land and water sports, offered at the hotel and nearby .
The Club Valtur is distinguished by its Sporting Club where you can partake in various sporting activities. The animation team is friendly. Its "all inclusive" service is ideal for those who want to be careful with their budget.
The Coralia Club La Kasbah, with an all inclusive service, will seduce you with its charm and excellent sports facilities. On one floor, the hotel stretches in a beautiful, 9 acre park planted with tropical trees and bougainvillea. It is not located on the seafront but its animation team is very dynamic.
The Argana hotel mainly caters to those who need relaxation and comfort. It is not located on the beach, but its swimming pool is pleasant and there are no organised activities. However, note that its restaurant, "El Paradisio", is one of the best restaurants in the city.
Aside from the fact that this hotel is well located in terms of the beach and the town centre and that its grounds are kept pleasant, it is pretty much impossible to be positive about the Almohades. The rooms are depressing, there seems never to be a moment's peace and quite, the service leaves a lot to be desired and the food is, to put it bluntly, terrible. Around two thirds of the rooms are set aside for clients of a French tour operator and from the way they behave you would think they had never been on holiday before. What's more, the animation here is almost exclusively in French so not really suitable for British guests. So, unless you really have no other option and you simply want to lie on the beach all day every day, we suggest you look elsewhere.
A small, very charming and pleasant hotel. It is ideal for those who want to get away from large tourist complexes. It is also good for both families and couples. A hotel where it is good to rest in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Iberostar Founty Beach is a real hotel complex with sports, activities and entertainment. Ideal for families, who will be able to find something to occupy their older or younger children.

Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea and Spa
Value for money7.27
This is by far and away the best hotel in Agadir. It is the only world class property in the resort and it beats every other hotel hands down in pretty much every way, from the design to the service and from the dining to the wellness facilities. Its beachfront location, away from the tacky tourist centre of Agadir, makes it the only place to consider for a truly relaxing luxury holiday. One could reproach the hotel for the size of its standard rooms, but they are immaculately appointed and both comfortable and functional. Also perfect are the hotel's grounds and public spaces which means that you probably will not have the remotest desire t to leave this heavenly complex. Although children are welcome at the Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea and Spa, the property is more suited for couples.

Riad Villa Blanche
Value for money7.22
The only charming hotel in the Agadir seaside resort. Compared to most of the city's club hotels, the Riad Villa Blanche is in a category all its own. Here, calm, tranquillity and refinement are the keywords. A place to relax in a cosy atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle of Agadir.

Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort
Value for money7.1
The older of the two Sofitels in Agadir, the Royalbay is, together with its sister hotel, head and shoulders above all other hotels in the resort in pretty well every aspect. With the exception of the newer of the pair of French properties, the Royalbay's architecture and design is unparalleled as is the standard of the service, food and facilities. The guestrooms are spacious and extremely well appointed, the public spaces are impeccably maintained and you will not find a smarter kids club anywhere. As well as enjoying a beachfront location the hotel also boasts a quiet spot along the bay, away from the chaos of the tourist centre. The one thing we were surprised about is the lack of privacy on the terraces and balconies of the rooms, especially the most expensive.

Tikida Golf Palace
Value for money7.08
Here you are entering one of the most beautiful hotels in Agadir, which is set apart by its location: far from the beach, outside Agadir, but on a 36-hole golf course and with a superb spa. The surroundings here exude peace and luxury. Opened in February 2007, the Riad combines Moroccan and contemporary styles. It's a shame the restaurant isn't up to the same standard.
There is no doubt that the Atlantic Palace is one of only a handful of hotels in Agadir to be truly of an international standard. Of an impressive scale, the hotel boasts smart, spacious rooms and suites, well kept and pleasant public spaces, a wellness centre worthy of the name and a good choice of quality eating concessions. The décor and design is head and shoulders above most other properties as is the staff and of course the location, being situated just across the road from the beachfront. Whether travelling as a couple, family or group of friends, if it is quality you are after then few places can top the Atlantic Palace - it should definitely be in your short list.

Without a doubt the best of the second row of hotels in Agadir, the Timoulay is a very pleasant hotel indeed, suitable for couples, small families or even groups of friends looking for value for money but not necessarily worried about being right on the beach. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed, the décor is in good taste, the food is reasonable, the staff personable and the spa, unlike so many of its neighbours', actually resembles a spa. The hotel is also fairly quiet and intimate and is a place that one may well choose to relax in rather than head out to the beach or the town. The Timoulay certainly gets our seal of approval!
