Located on the outskirts of Albufeira a short walk from the beach, the Boa Vista has beautiful sea views and good service, despite its décor being a little dated. Although the rooms look a little higgledy-piggledy, we liked the fact that the rooms all had a different set of furniture and a different feel altogether. The area around the hotel is largely residential and is a great draw for tourists as it is far from the madding crowds near the harbour down below. The hotel, celebrating its 50th anniversary, has undeniable charm that cannot be created in a new-build; however, this does mean that the hotel looks a little old-fashioned. The Boa Vista mainly welcomes couples looking to spend some quality time together - there are few families with young children who stay here.
