The Sealight is popular with both couples and families, and is considered to be among the more upmarket establishments in the region, largely thanks to the quality of its facilities. However, its lack of charm can leave you indifferent. While its location on a rocky outcrop gives it superb sea views, the disadvantage of this is the many stairs that must be tackled on the way to the beach. Thanks to the all-inclusive package, you can save your money for any souvenirs you wish to take home!

    Location 7.0 /10

The Sealight is a seafront establishment located just 2 mi from Kusadasi. The city centre is a mere 5 minute drive away. Izmir airport is about 50 mi away and it shouldn't take more than an hour and fifteen minutes to get to by car.

    Accommodation 8.70 /10

The hotel can accommodate up to 1,200 guests in its 420 guest rooms, 255 of which are in the standard category. Depending on the location, you may have a view of the sea or the mountains. Despite the small size of its bathroom, the standard room is very spacious, and the thick carpet on the floor adds to the comfort provided by the facilities, which include a television, air conditioning, a safe, a minibar, and so on. The colour scheme is pleasant, if lacking a touch of originality. All of the rooms have a balcony furnished with a table and 2 chairs.

    Overview 8.45 /10

Opened in 2007, the Sealight is shaped like an arc facing the sea. Time seems to have treated it well, for the facilities still look as good as new. As its name suggests, the hotel has a superb view of the sea, and it is also lucky enough to not have any neighbours too nearby. Given the imposing design and the size of its 9 storey main building, you can't possibly drive past the Sealight without noticing it. Although the furniture in the lobby is modern, there is an old fashioned feel to the reception area, and its big gilded columns are not necessarily a very attractive aspect of the decor. Outside, there is a big seawater swimming pool surrounded by a solarium with deckchairs nicely spread out over it. A little further off are some big slides, where children can have fun playing all day long. The hotel spa is located in the basement and consists of 9 treatment rooms - including one wholly dedicated to light therapy - and an indoor swimming pool.

    Food and drink 8.20 /10

With 6 restaurants, you'll have more than enough choices over the course of the week! The main restaurant, the Sunrise, operates as a buffet for the 3 meals of the day. Given the number of tables and the size of the room, this immense space feels rather like a canteen and quickly gets noisy during busy times of the year. You'll be better of eating out on the terrace, which is quieter and has a better view. The other restaurants, on the other hand, serve à la carte meals. They are all in the same part of the hotel, lined up under the swimming pool, and each is the same size and decorated in a manner reflecting the type of cuisine on the menu. The Dragon serves Chinese dishes, the Dolce Vita Italian, the Agaios serves fish, the Kutk Ocakbasi is Turkish, and the Myrina is a snack bar.

    Beach 7.20 /10

The Sealight does have its own beach, but this could not be described as its main selling point, owing to the long sequence of steps between the hotel and the sand down below. Once you get there you will discover a pleasant spot, albeit a touch too small, but it is covered in nice grey sand and has clear inviting water to bathe in. Because of the limited number of plastic deckchairs on the beach, the hotel constructed a large solarium on several levels along the edge of the beach. A nearby water sports club offers various activities.

    To know

Unlike most of the hotels in the area, the Sealight stays open all year round.
