Of the 270 rooms of the hotel, 40 overlook the sea : these are the ''priviledges''. The standard rooms overlook the pool and the gardens.  About twenty rooms can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids, because they offer a double bed and 2 bunk beds. The furniture - simple and sober - is made of rattan in the standard rooms and of colonial inspired varnished wood in the others. All the rooms are very spacious ( at least 64 m² ). They offer a sundeck on the ground level and a balcony upstairs. Their amenities include air-conditioning ( no fan ), mini-bar, diect telephone line and TV. The superior rooms have also a tea/coffee kit. The bathrooms have a bathtub ( also a shower in the family rooms ), a hairdryer and a basket with welcome products.

The hotel was open in July 1999 and it was renovated in 2004. The reception is located next to an impressive lobby whose black and white tiled floor contrasts with the visible wooden framework. View on the outside  from the lounges facing the reception and close to the bar, overlooking the swimming pool. The swimming pool stretches out on 1 000 m² divided into two pools placed side by side forming the main attraction for leisure . There is enough space to set up deckchairs and sunshades, you won't feel cramped ! The access to the beach  is located facing the pool, behind a fringe of coconut trees. The rooms are located in one-level villas ( 4 rooms per villa ) scattered in the gardens edged on one side by an estuary covered with waterlilies six months per year ( November to March ).  

At the main restaurant overlooking the swimming pool, breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style. In the evening, there is a theme inspired from either Indian, Mauritian, Chinese, French or Italian cuisine. For lunch, the beach restaurant with tables set up on the sand and shaded by Indian almond trees, creates a very nice setting to try a meat or fish curry. It is also open in the evening. Another setting for a refined dinner : the gastronomic restaurant ''La Fleur de Canne'', located down below the lobby, and where the terraced tables are surrounded by a fake pool. Here you can order for instance roasted spiny lobsters or a confit of deer with juniper berries.

The beach is a cove of 40 m x 300 m closed by two rocky heaps. It is located between the beaches of the Maritim hotel and of the Oberoi. The sand is of medium quality. However, the water is turquoise. Since one of the hot spots of the Plantation is the variety of the water sports offered, don't hesitate to go to the nautical cabin and rent flippers, masks and snorkel, take a ride on a pedal boat or a canoe. These activities are included in the formula. However, motorised water sports, game fishing and diving can be practiced for and additional charge.

Last minute :
the Plantation was scheduled to close on May 1st until August 31st 2007. Back then, a renovation of all the rooms, the opening of a new spa and a gastronomic restaurant serving Mediterranean food were scheduled.

The spa offers different a la carte cares in an area equipped with 3 massage rooms, 1 hydrotherapy room and 1 balneotherapy room. A room offers also equipments that are necessary for chromotherapy. Sauna, hammam and jacuzzi can be used in addition to a care.

A kids-club welcomes 3 to 12 years old children from 9 am to 9 pm. It is located on one of the edges of the estate, next to tennis courts. The amenities are complete : outside playground, room with TV and DVD player.
